Day 27 – A picture of yourself and a family member
I’m the baby of the two kids in my family. My older brother is a little less than two years older than me, and we’re about as different as night and day. He’s a Lieutenant (soon-to-be-Captain) in the Marines. I’m a writer who can hardly bear running over a squirrel, much less the challenges of a soldier. He’s hilariously outgoing. I’m shy and soft-spoken. He’s thick and muscular. I’m a stick. There are few things he and I share in common, yet he and are I are incredibly close. With him being in the military, I don’t get to see my brother very often. When he’s not overseas, he’s stationed literally on the opposite side of the country. But we find a way to still stay connected, and be a part of each others’ lives.
